I drive well over 300 miles per week and currently, I have yet to regear my truck on 35s. My current mileage is around 15.5 mpg when crusin' at 55 - 60 mph AND im cool with that.... When traveling long highway miles, I tend to push my truck and being not geared - I'm in 4th gear or screaming 3rd to pass someone or going up a hill ( redline is peaking about 80 mph ) - after my last Las Vegas trip, I got an average of 9 mpg.

    That’s all well and good.

What I’m getting at is. If you’re worried about mileage...37s aren’t a great idea.

Throw mileage hope right out the window. :crapstorm:

Here’s my Fuelly since going to 37’s.

I drive pretty conservatively and run about 65-70 on the highway. Still on 3.73 gears. Like @Spoonman said if mileage is a big issue to you 37’s might not be for you but it’s possible to not get terrible mileage with them.

I get about the same on 4.56s and v6 If I could drop it down to 45 - 50 I'd get 20mpg. Highway hurts the mpg's.

Welcome. It's not necessary to plate the fender well back in but I wanted to keep a "factory" look when its painted and rubberized. Plus it keeps the engine bay from being completely covered in mud. It's quite a bit of work but if you got the time, skill and care, you can make some shit happen. Haha

Cool man. But I had 37s, too. You won’t convince me :)

My mileage wasn’t really any worse than with 35s. But you won’t be getting great mileage with that sort of tire. It’s not possible unless you’re always driving down hill

Like I said I drive very tame and most of my driving is highway driving around 65 mph. I do correct the odometer in my calculations. I could even gps verify it. I genuinely average 15.7 mpg on 37’s. 35’s I averaged about 16.4 IIRC.

I feel 15 mpg is actually great mileage for the weight and size of the tire...these arn't diesel trucks that have globs of power... If I really was concern about MPG, 35s would have been out of the equation.

Yea no doubt. Weight depends on which wheel and which tire as well as what size you go with but mine are right around 145 pounds a piece. Of course I’m happy with the mileage I get but I’d still drive it all the same if it got 10 mpg.

Ok yea it looks like I miss remembered a little bit. I was thinking the tires were right at 100 pounds but looks like they're actually 93 pounds New after looking it up and these are far from New so probably down closer to 90 pounds at this point.
