    Good morning all,

Recently while traveling on a slight incline the truck lost power at 5k rpm and around 55mph. Cleaned MAF, replaced PCV valve, had the spark plugs changed, and put the unifilter on the secondary breather, as well as replaced air filter. Disconnected the battery and all was fine for about 3 weeks.

Last night at around 70mph and on the mid range of RPMs, the truck did it again. Check engine and trac lights came on (as it did the first time it happened). Disconnected the battery and reconnected, back to normal. There is a lot of info on this forum and Ive done my best to address what I can, im not mechanically inclined but im working on that.

Anybody have any idea what this could be? Ive read similar issues relate to the secondary air injection valve, fuel filter, C/C, etc. Im trying to avoid dumping more money into more parts and just fix what needs to be fixed but I know thats just how this goes sometimes.

Apologies for the long post, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did the traction control and check engine lights stay on until you stopped and disconnected the battery? And they went out after you reconnected it? Next time it happens, don't reset them. Go to AutoZone. They'll do a scan for free and at least you'll have some codes to look into.

Thanks all, i was not in the position to hit a Autozone or similar shop either time when the truck did this simply because of the time of day and the fact that the truck was in limp mode. But, by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, all was good again. Thats whats so confusing to me. I have ordered a code reader off Amazon, so hopefully when it happens again, Ill be ready. Again thanks yall!
