I can't really call this a build, as much of the goodies were on it upon purchase. With that being said, there are a few shortcomings that I'll be fixing in the process.

    Here it is as purchased:

Total Chaos Boxed Long Travel Kit w/ Heims
    King Shocks
    Deaver Leafs
    35" MT's
    McNeill Fenders and Bedsides
    01-04 Front End Conversion
    Tube Front Bumper
    LED Light Bars
    DIY Blue Paint

The brown interior is getting a full black treatment with new carpet and upholstery.

The truck came with cheapo racing seats, so i'm going to fab mounts for Forester XT buckets.

HID Retrofits on the way to replace the HID's in the stock reflector housings.

Color change is very likely in the works.

Started pulling the interior and picked up some new seats from a Subaru Forester XT.

I've got some preliminary seat feet designed to attach to the Forester rails, with hopes I can get some bent up next week.

Carpet is in and upholstery is ready to be installed. Buttoned up the driver door and started the passenger door sound deadening.

    You are correct.

The previous owner was outside of OKC, and I’m just outside of Tulsa.

Sound deadening is going well and nearly finished up. Noico butyl mat, closed cell foam and mass loaded vinyl.

Moving on to cutting the carpet to shape.

    Kicker 6-3/4" Door Speakers

Nice truck man. I need to put carpet in my truck.make it look a little better inside. What you use for the carpet? Have a link? Not sure how I want to tackle it. I want a durable carpet

This is the standard "Plush Cut Pile" carpet from StockInteriors.com in their "Charcoal" color .

It does require you to do some trimming for the cutouts, which take a little time and patience. I'm very happy overall.

I started painting the interior plastics last night and continued fitting the carpet.

What paint did you use for your interior panels? Looking good so far!

I’m using Dupli-Color Vinyl and Fabric in “Flat Black”. I was a little skeptical at first, but it seems to working very well. More pictures up later today.

I got what feels like a lot done this weekend. The interior is mostly back together. New rear seat belts are in, but I unfortunately had to put in the stock worn out front seat belts. Still looking for a solid set of front Grey belts if you come across some.

I've put a personal goal of driving to work this week!

Washed off years of sand and dirt from the engine bay and underside of the truck. Subsequently, the next day the A/C belt was not cooperating and a few of the plugs got wet causing a miss.

Cleaned the plugs off and replaced all the serp belts and she's back in action.

I separated the housing on the pass headlamp as the lens shroud came loose during shipping. :censored:

Update: After driving it for a day or two the A/C Compressor started chirping again. While in Petsmart picking up my puppers it seems to have seized shut making the most awful racket. The clutch was stuck engaged so the serp belt was basically burning itself up running over a stationary belt.

I ran into the nearby Target and bought a $20 multi tool and cut the belt off after the borrowed Petsmart scissors didn't cut the proverbial mustard.

A few dollars later I now have a compressor headed my way.

In other news I got (3) of my new wheels and tires mounted only to find that one of them was bent on arrival. I received a replacement and got them all mounted and balanced last night. I hope to get them put on the truck over the weekend.

I had to tetris all the mounted wheels/tires in my Jeep Cherokee (XJ) to get them home. I had intended to take the truck, but after hooking up the new ballasts for the HID's only one worked. Sigh.

    Nice build!
I have a few questions for you. I see you mounted a 4runner steering wheel, How was all the connections fitted? direct plug in or did you have to cut and re-solder the wirers to make it work. Also dose the cruse control still work?
Btw I love the all black interior. it looks way better then the dual stock.

The airbag plug isn't plug and play. I don't have a solution for that yet. The cruise isn't working at the moment, so I'm suspecting there may be differences between the 4unner and tacoma. I'm planning to swap over the cruise switch when I pull the steering wheel back off to center it up.

Thanks! I'm really enjoying driving it finally. It was worth the effort from my perspective.

Dam that sucks, I want to swap out my steering wheel but don't want to mess around with all the wiring with out a step by step how to. Its probably because of my bad experience from having a curtain air back blow up on me while changing out an air bag module in my benz. And even though I disconnected the battery it turned out there was a smaller back up battery for the air bags and alarm... who would of guessed. If you have a change you should do a write up on the swap.

I also swapped out the MAF for a 99+ unit using the link below. I haven't ran through a tank of fuel yet to see if it will make any difference, but if nothing else it looks nicer. The blinking CEL seems to have gone away as well.
