Monache Meadows - '03 2WD Pre-runner-non trd

Stock, no mods. How far can my truck get me into Monache?
Was planning to do some hiking, fishing and camping. Trying to get as far as I can then set up camp. Any info would be great. Thanks!!

 

Was just there 2 weeks ago and it was my first time. Made it all the way in 2wd. Small section on the way back where you are climbing up and it gets steep. I have a manual and went into 4 lo to avoid the sweet smell of clutch. If it helps any , I saw a Yoda Highlander that made it into the meadows

 

area looks cool..hows the fishing?!

 

I hiked into Golden Trout Wilderness and found a few Golden. Fished the South fork with no luck. Found this cool hood ornament.

 

I was planning on going up there on the 21-23, but might change that for another time and go further up the 395. If you're looking for someone to go up with you to the Meadows, let me know
