I searched through the forums as much as I could to try to find an answer to this question but could not find anything. I had recently put in the newer version of the medium Duty Dakars In the rear of my DCLB. Obviously I know that I still have some form of tacoma lean that I tried to remedy by putting a quarter inch spacer On top of my Bilstein 6112's In the front. It helped for a while but then everything settled. This is a question for anyone that has the Dakar leaf springs in the rear of their truck. Has anyone ever tried either putting a 1 inch spacer on the driver side rear Dakar or possibly even add the heavy duty Add-a-Leaf for the Dakar leaf pack on the Driver side? The Add-a-leaf states that it will raise up the Dakar leaf pack 15 mm. I am looking at a possible 1 1/2 inch difference from the driver side to the passenger side. Has anyone tried anything like this? If I was to do something like this, what would be the possible ramifications?

Try loosing the Dakar bushing(s) bolts, (all six includes the hanger), then torque them to spec. Do this with the trucks weight on them. The bushing(s) may be binding and giving you uneven height. 1.5 inch is too much difference for new springs. Something is wrong. Adding blocks will be treating symptoms not fixing the problem.

Just did some lean work to mine this week Jared. Put a 1/2" alum. top hat spacer in to replace the 3/8" poly one.
That helped some, not all the way though.
Replaced the front leaf bushing with poly too. The ride is much firmer.
I was going to get to the rear hangers next.
Check out @GHOST SHIP 's write up about the bushing replacement. He talks about the binding issue.
I think I may have the same issue.
If you need at 3/8" poly or alum. top hat spacer, let me know.

One more thought. The springs are marked + and/or 0 and/or - The + is moi macho, should be on the driver side.

The newer Medium springs do not have a + or - like the older ones do. I will try the torquing spec first. @DrFunker

Yeah, try that. May be the ticket for the binding issue.

Not true. They either have a +, a - or a circle. Which does yours have? If you say none, look again!

    Lots of sail boat fuel
The +, -, or 0 is spring rate when they test tbem.

    0 is nominal.
    + Is higher rate
    - is under

    All are within spec.

I just got mine in the spring. The markings are still current

After looking further, they are both "-". Since I didn't see a "+" I assumed that it was just a marking. I was hoping that one of them was a "+" so I could tell the difference between the two of them and was hoping that one of them was different.

Loosen the hangar bolts (3 per side) and retorque with the weight of the vehicle on them.

Well, I re'torqued all of the six bolts to 89ft/lbs. @DrFunker , god those inside bolts were a bear! Let's see if that does it.
