First off want to introduce myself, I am bearsnut84 and hopefully a soon to be Tacoma owner. I wanted to come to this thread to ask some questions about the Tacomas and get some feedback. Thanks for any replies and help and look forward to getting to know everyone.

I am looking at a 2017 Black Tacoma Crew Cab, I will post the link below. It is brand new and has 260ish miles on it, they said it on one that has just sat on lot and not sold. I think price is a little high but they will not work with me at all on it over the phone, they said it was already priced to move.

Couple concerns I want to hear some feedback on are
    1. Gas Mileage- I drive 37 miles each way to work on highway going about 60mph. What can I expect MPG? Can I do anything to help it?
    2. Back Seat- I am concerned with having 4 adults in the truck at the same time as this will become our main vehicle to go places in if I was to buy it.
    3. Price- is it priced right??

Now the link. Thanks ahead of time for any feedback and help, also that butt looks good! I want to talk smoking once I am on here more.

I'd expect 20-21 on the highway.
Adults can fit in the back and I have done so on road trips but I'm sure it would be more comfortable in a full size truck.
    Price seems fair to me.

Hey bearsnut. Gas mileage will vary depending on a lot of things. Some users here get 16 mpg and others 26. Average is probably around 20.

The back seat isn’t very big. Getting full size adults back there isn’t fun. Yes it can be done but long trips can be very uncomfortable. If this is something you plan to do often, perhaps look at a full size truck

Seems like they are lying to you. You can sell a new truck with 250 miles in it. However that’s preowned. Meaning someone purchased it and traded it back in or something. 35k seems very high to me. You can get a brand new 18 with the safety stuff added for that price. And your warranty will be longer (goes by original sold date)

    Food for thought

That price is bullshit, I got a brand new 2018 OR AT with tech package, msrp 37.8k, selling price 32.9k. Fuck those assholes and find a new dealer.

That’s a good deal honestly. You have the premium package on that.

If you care about mpg don’t buy a truck

If you care about passengers don’t buy a truck

If you care about trucks buy a Tacoma

    Enjoy.

My inlaws just bought one and I didnt like how it rode at all. If I am gonna spend that money on a SUV I want it to ride like one not a truck.

Honestly I would strongly consider the ridgeline. Better mpg, rides like an SUV.

I'd say you can find at least as good a deal (maybe better) deal on a new 18 truck. I am always very wary of vehicles that have that kind of mileage and are 'left over'. If you want a better price you need to do your homework, read some pricing threads here, and email/phone call only until you get a good enough dealer bite. Good luck.

I dunno......between the new 4Runners and the Ridgeline, there’s not a lot happening in the looks department for either. It’s kinda like trying to decide if you want to marry the Predator or Boba Fett.
