Thanks guys. Just sent them a PM as well. Marie's already gotten back to me and it's a darn good price, waiting to hear back from DSM to see what they do.

@M C M Sending you an email right now.

Noticed I or may not have as much lift on the front as many of you with the same shocks. I have 700lb springs. I have not adjusted the shocks much other then getting the taco lean out. Has anyone been able to level the truck. Would like to be at the max logical lift without wearing out something the rear is about an inch higher. Was able to check out the rear shock today by getting some some flexing in. need to check out the fronts but need a better spot.

    Lots of expensive shit

You want to have at least 2" of droop travel to avoid having the shock top out to easy. The Tacomas are tough to get aesthetically level because of the way the wheel well openings are. I prefer to leave at least a 1/2" of rake towards the rear so that when you load the bed up, you have a better chance of the truck sitting level and not making the front end taller.

Just remember, the initial pricing you get from different suppliers should not be your only consideration when buying. After sales customer service is just as important, in case you needed help or even just information on your setup after the fact. DSM and Headstrong both have excellent reputations in this regard

I ended up ordering from HeadStrong. I already knew the details of what I needed, my application is completely custom. In the end they had the best price I could work with and I've always enjoyed my experiences ordering from them. Now the long wait for them to be built!

Yup, just lube the threads really well. Only back the set screw out until you can turn the adjusting ring. I used a punch instead of the spanner wrench.

Lots of lube! And if that punch or drift still doesnt move, put a tube over it and use it for leverage. Worked fine as long as the wheels were off the ground

For adjusting, I used wd-40. Anything equivalent will also do.

I have been deliberating over what to do with my truck for a year. Could anybody give me an example of what suspension setup and tires they went with on a 3rd gen and their experiences or issues they encountered if any? Pics would be cool.

This thread is for ADS suspension. There are a ton of pictures in it but you'll have to go page by page to see them and the setups that guys are running. I'm running front and back with click adjusters on all four corners with a full Dakar leaf pack in the rear with a U-bolt flip kit. I'm also running Total Chaos UCAs and I installed the ECGS bushing while installing everything so I wouldn't have to worry about the possibility of vibrations after the lift. Love my setup. Get in touch with @HeadStrong Off-Road and talk to Marie, she'll get you setup with what you need/want. She knows her stuff and answers endless stupid questions without complaint (ask me how I know that :)).

Do you have a rough estimate of how many turns per 1/4 inch?

I have been digging the net on top of this and saw in another forum, a member mentioned Brian said to measure the spring length. 12.2" on the driver and 12" on the passenger side. I havent gone to measure my springs, but until i hear from Brian, i dont have much to go on. Ive also read on here that its 1/8" a turn... once again, unsure what is the correct answer here still.

I sent an email in a day prior to yours with no response. Every manufacturer has a different spec on max preload and how inches of lift is measured. King says every five turns is an inch, Radflo says max 2" spring preload, icon says 2.13" max for 13" coils and 1.13" max for 14" coils. So far, nothing from ADS.

just went out and cranked my drivers side.

i have a 4runner with known drivers side lean issues. that and i have a 31m battery installed instead of stock.
drivers side now has 1-1/4" thread exposed
passengers side has 7/16" thread exposed
thats 13/16" difference between both sides
still about 1/4" variance in lift between the front driver/passenger. but rears are about even with full tank of gas. slightly higher on drivers rear with 3/8 tank.

ads never did reply to me about how much thread i can safely have exposed. i have 650lb springs.. i think...
running a plate bumper, and some lights on the front end adding weight, as well as supercharger and oversized starter battery.

does anyone know how much exposed thread is safe?
