Yeah I need to make it down for a few of the Austin meet and greets. Thanks for the compliment.

I have a bed rack or two and some other things I’ve built running around out in the wild on other Tacos. May have been one of mine. Glad you were able to get yourself some Third Coast Therapy. Can’t wait for my next session. The kings and Amber Jacks are calling my name come August. I’ll trade the beer for a good cup of coffee though.

Looking forward to watching this build

Haha, I do the same thing. No one ever gets why I take my rake but they're always asking to use it after they see what I do with it. It's saved me from certain bottom-of-the-foot stitches at least once.

Some mighty fine craftsmanship throughout your entire build. I really love how much of the truck has your fingerprints on it. I'll definitely appreciate any expertise you'd be willing to offer when it comes time to build that cage we were talking about previously.

    Subbed!

Great work, jealous of your talent. I need to get into welding myself and its something I've been wanting to do on the side. Just been waiting for time to take advantage of some opportunities I have available. One step at a time.

Just curious why you didn't protect the cam tabs with the skid, seems easy enough to flare out a bit before them?

I am planning on incorporating them into the control arm skids. Just haven’t gotten around to it. That way I don’t have to pull the belly skid for alignment and things of that nature. I can pull the control arm skid and I am good to go that kind of maintenance.

I have been running them for several years on my Cummins and I can normally get 60k+ miles out if them. Hopefully I can do the same with this size tire. I am running 37s on the Cummins so a lot less revolutions per mile. I am curious to see how much difference the smaller diameter makes on the treadwear.D345CEC3-7529-44A4-923D-EDF6214920F6.jpg

We shall see. I believe @LadyRed has the same tire brand and size. I believe she is running a after market wheel though. Maybe she will chime in with a mileage report.

I got about 40k miles out of mine and at the end they were loud and pretty rough. They still had plenty of tread but the ride wasn’t smooth anymore.

Well that sounds good to me on the mileage. May look into some Dayna beads later in the life span if I start getting any ride changes out of these.

Did you go back with the same size or do something different?

Old man emu 886 coils, 90001 struts, LR UCA up front. Dakar heavy leafs in the rear. Caster set at 3.5* on both front wheels. No rub even with the front stuffed at full lock.

My taco lean seems to show more with these than it did with the 265/75r16 KO2 they replaced so I will be adding a top plate spacer to correct that. I will actually be putting a 1/4” top plate spacer on the passenger and a 1/2” on the driver for now to get back a little of my lift. Bumper, winch, skids, sliders, dual batteries, roof rack and solar setup put a good load on the front axle. I am going to see how this does for a while but will most likely be swapping to the OME 2705 coils on the 90001 struts. The 2705 coils are 13mm longer free length than the 2886 coils and have a 720 lb spring rate as opposed the 660 lbs on the 2886.

Road noise is no worse than my used up KO2 were for the last 10k.

I ended up switching to 285/75/26 in the KO2 just to try them. I think I liked the Toyos better. But I sold my truck a couple weeks ago so no more Tacoma.
