Im just getting around to getting new yires for my 3rd gen. Reading through the thread seems like 285s f oht with a 0 offset and 4.75 in back space. Just wondering if yall think they would fit with 4.5 back space and -6 offset. I just lifted the truck about 2.5" in the front

That would be better the negative offset and lower backspace pushes it further away from the uca

I feel like a cab mount chop is just good insurance for any tire size over stock.

If your doing a 2” lift with billies and 887’s you might as well fit 285’s, you’ll just need a CMC tho

I have similiar setup, 285/75/16 KO2s with a 2" lift and I hardly rub either. I do have stock rims though.

That being said, not all tires are made the same. My Nitto Trail Grapplers rubbed big time. They were much wider at the tread then the KO2s

I want to run 285/70/17 on SCS ray 10's with 4.5 BS and -13 offset. 2" lift stock UCA's.

But will I still be able to fit in my garage door? :argue: My girl gets hot in south Louisiana sun.

Not a serious question, just for shits and giggles.
    Sorry!! Don't ban me

Seriously, if anyone has some copper Ray 10's for sale. PM me.

I'm looking at putting on 275/65/18's KO2 on fuel sledge wheels, -12 offset. Cannot find much info on whether it will rub or not. Anybody have an opinion or experience? Or can i go bigger??? Also, i will be putting 2 inch spacers on the front and rear, very important to note lol

Been looking into it for some time now. From what I’ve learnt youbridk rubbing once you go past 265. With the 275 a -1 offset seems to be the one with the most success.
    Anyone else have opinions?

Only time i hear a smidge of rubbing is when i pull into a steep drive way at a weird angle coming in hot! LOL, I am running the Stock UCA's however and this weekend I am changing them out with TC UNI. hopefully this will help with the occasional anomaly..

Well I’m not sure about 18” but TC is saying and the shop is saying once the alignment is set correctly to the lift an UCA’s it will be fine

Whether or not your tires will rub or not has more to do with alignment and wheel offset (and of course tire size) then it does with the amount of lift. The farther you push the wheel out (negative offset), the more likely you'll rub on the cab mount. Additionally, after market UCA's with built in caster will allow for more adjustment to prevent rubbing.

More likely then not you're going to rub with a 285 size tire. If you have a positive offset, you might get away with not rubbing on fender or cab mount, but good chance you'll hit your UCA's. Even then, if you wheel offroad then it is probable you will rub, regardless of offset, when flexing.

I run a 285 with aftermarket UCA's with extended travel coilovers and a -10 offset and it rubs really, really bad. 20180814_183728.jpg

Hey Teufel. Great info thanks. Right now I’m running +7 offset and 5inch backspace. With what you’re saying I should be good to go?
