Midland 1001z. I was looking for a small, capable cb. And this one got good reviews.

Over the new year break took a trip out to Big Bend and did some driving with 5 more trucks out there. Amazing place!

Even got some snow and ice!

I needed a mounting solution for my traction boards so a trip to Lowe’s was in order.

After the trip I felt the need to install #700 springs. I chose Kings. Wasn’t a difficult job at all. Now I have way less preload, gained more lift and rides a tad better.

whats shipping to 98597? Feel free to PM me, it wont give me the option to "start a conversation" with you; not sure if you have that feature turned off.

Do you know the company that made the springs?...Eibach?

Trimmed the front fenders and flares. It turned out nice!

Cut the inner fender, used the door edge protector on both the fender and flare. I also took the opportunity to apply some bed liner on the exposed metal inside the wheel well and cover up the greenish paint. Now it looks all in one color up inside the wheel well.

Little of this and a little of that

Looks awesome! How much did you end up trimming off?

Thanks! It was quite a bit, I originally did it a few months back up to the metal fender. This time I trimmed that too an extra 2" so it's not showing.

Over the past few days I completed the switch pro install, rock lights and a transmission cooler fan.

Fabricated custom mounts for the lights that pick up the holes in the existing tube step location.

I had some leftover cannon plugs that I used to wire up the accessories to switch pros panel.

Going 35s! Spent a good bit flattening the pinch weld and ‘massaging’ the fender wells with a sledge hammer. Still need a cmc done.

Made new fender liners from vinyl I found at Lowes and used spray bedliner for color.

Chose 4.88 gears and ARB rear locker. I’ll post up a review on the gears once I have them installed.

Swapped the new gears and locker today.
ECGS made the swap a breeze. Now just have to wait for the rtv to fully cure and I can fill the diffs and take it for a spin.

Sandblasted, primed and painted the SOS concepts rear bumper.
Also, mounted the BAMF diff skid. Trimmed my rear fenders to fit the 35s better. And finally got a new deck for my bedslide. Dressed it up with some aluminum sides and new aircraft style seat rails to mount attachment points.

Very good stuff man. How is that vinyl holding up as a liner? Also how did you attach it? trying to get my ducks in a row before I start chopping.

It's holding up quite well. I might try sheets of abs next.
