Hi, does anyone make a FJ40’s style expanded metal grille with classic TOYOTA white real metal lettering? (Not the TRD plastic Pro style grille).

Round headlights, too? Ok, maybe just the metal grille and letters...

Oops, was curious about what KkelX4 did- quoted you by mistake. Thanks for the link, though.

Do you still have any pics of it, and what lettering did you use?

I don't but I just used a multi tool to cut the ribs out of my grill, used a piece of cardboard to cut the shape, test fit it, and strategically welded a couple tabs on. It looked great. For lettering there's some letters on Amazon and ebay, just pay attention to the letter size. The Toyota letters from the 40 actually looked too small on the grill.

Ah, thanks! Your touchup on your new one in your Avatar pic looks good, leaving the center embelem chrome looks nice.

Its not exactly what you're describing but I've got the empire offroad and I love it. It was cheap too compared to other options.

    This is mine:
    MVIMG_20180425_183935.jpg
Custom car grilles mesh, OEM FJ emblem from eBay.

Pretty sure emblem is plastic, could be metal though I can't remember.

It's just the one that came on the truck, the CCG mesh gets glued into the bezel and reinstalled.

Sorry for all the questions- was it DIY or did you have them do it? If DIY, did you just buy the precut metal sheet? What type of glue did you use? I saw they sell a wrap for the edge too, did you use that too?

DIY, I just bought the precut powder coated mesh from them.

It's the glue he uses, auto goop: https://www.amazon.com/Amazing-GOOP-160012-Automotive-Adhesive/dp/B000CCID28
I was a little skeptical about gluing initially but this stuff is rock solid if you prep and take your time, it's held up no issues thru pretty much all imaginable conditions.

I did not use the wrap, my truck is an SR so it came with a black bezel and that was exactly what I wanted too.

Thanks! Im looking at replacing mine due to a crack (rock strike) and was interested in less expensive options. I wasnt interested in getting a feau pro grille, athough it does looks nice on other people’s trucks.

Custom Car Grills. I think it was less than 150. This is the best front on pic I have. Sorry.

Sweet, that looks really nice. My Taco is white, so I am going to photoshop the black mesh and frame, and white letters on it to see what it looks like before ordering, thanks guys!
