    @Jcyr
    I got my Megasquirt mostly installed tonight. I just need to run a boost/vac line to it and swap my injectors in.

    From the reading I’ve done recently, it looks like my idle issues may be because I need to calibrate the MS for the Toyota coolant temp sensor and also set the VVT wire to be read as an idle control wire. I’m hoping to get everything finished tomorrow after work so I can try it out and see what happens

    I thought about running my cross over above my engine, thought about running my down pipe through my hood, my dump pipe through my hood (still have to figure out a place for that actually) and my hood barely touched my filter and turbo and I was like less hood=less weight but I took a ball ping and fixed that, luckily it was where the sub hood supports were and I dinged em up really good

    What ID size are you using now? I’m thinking it may be possible to combat/tweak fueling with something like this before going with a stand-alone.

    Right now I'm using the size that is closest to stock. It maxed out, but I'm going to see if the mapecu3 can clamp my maf voltage when I drop in my larger injectors.

    Just noticed you’ve got you’re MAF Sensor post turbo.

    Have you tried to put the MAF Sensor pre turbo? It may net better results since the ECU is currently reading the amount of air in that’s under pressure. Should the MAF be preboost, it would be the true atmospheric amount of air. ??? Makes sense in my head anyway.

    I can control the fuel electronically so it doesn't matter where I put the sensor. For my setup it is easier to run the maf sensor as shown. Theoretically it doesn't matter whether you run the maf sensor pre or post turbo. You are just measuring the mass of air flow. It just happens to be less dense in front of the turbo. You might just have a slight confusion between mass flow rate vs volumetric flow rate.

    I used that same one on mine running the MAF post turbo and didn’t have any problems with it. That one is aluminum making it less likely to break than the plastic ones out there. The only small issue I had was that it doesn’t have a bead on the ends of it so it slipped out of the coupler one time over about 1.5 years causing a boost leak.

    I’m need some help...
    I started up the truck today with the Megasquirt installed and I was able to get it idling good around 900rpm. I let it run for a while, drive around and did some tuning. Then I went to get on it a bit and it went lean lost rpm signal and died. It would start back up but didnt seem to be moving the tach on the dash at all and would die out. I tried messing with some stuff for a while. Basically didn’t really do much. Then I went to start it up again and out of no where it started back up and ran fine...till I hit boost again. Did the same thing. Then Started back up after a while and doed again just cruising not in boost. Any ideas?

    Edit: may have figured it out. Going to test it here in a bit and report back.

    Yeah it’s running all good now. Luckily it was just something stupid. A couple of the unused injector or spark wires that were cut on the PNP harness came exposed when I was stuffing all that crap in there and was touching metal behind the dash. It was causing something to freak out and the engine was just shutting off. So I just wrapped them up more thoroughly and it’s all good now.
