The red looks great. I wanted ABS and had no choice but get the matte black. As far as seats, I will have a corbin made with the seat part being dark red bomber jacket leather with the rest black. Will add a few more red highlights to match. Took me awhile to get used to riding in the higher RPMs of the scout, but once I started cruising in the 4500rpm range things got really fun. Still seems odd taking it to 8000rpms though.

It has the Indian stage 1 exhaust, since it came free with the purchase of the bike, but I put RCX slipons on my scout 60. The stage 1s are an upgrade over the stock boat anchors, but still too long. I'm going to try shortening them by about 4 inches if I can figure out how.

 

Completed a 36 day, 23 state, 9300 mile adventure on this last month. Im still tired.

 

Just picked up my very first bike.

@Stockmonster this is a CBR1100 BlackBird ( 2001 only year offered in Red) This one is Modded with Dynojet ECU, re geared, now with four into one, disabled linked braking system. will run 12.sec ETs and much more.

 

Cleaned up both bikes, which is rare for me. Been prepping my wife for the cost of a new Corbin seat. Of course she asked what was wrong with the one on the bike.

 

Hit Tail of the Dragon again the other day. Recently returned from a trip to Minnesota and the UP of Michigan. All backroads. Love to ride!

 

Yeah, I'm back from the dead. Work has been nuts and I've been playing with the bike more than the truck.

And about to do a bit more. Just waiting on some cylinder heads. Should end up making around 100hp with the 1275 kit, Impact 560 cams, and Screaming Eagle heads. I'll be upgrading the carb to a Mikuni HSR 42 or 45 in the future which should help me get to 110hp.
