So, I have some idle CNC machines and lathes floating around and I'm seriously struggling to think of a product worth making. Something random, odd, goofy, obscure or whatever is fine provided it's useful and has at least a niche market.

Here are the perimeters I would like:

    1) $20-50 price point.
    2) Easily shipped.
    3) A market of roughly 100 sales per year.
    4) Ideally aluminum.
    5) 2nd gen Tacoma compatible (since I have one to test it on)

What I'm thinking of doing is banging out about 1,000 of them while I have the time and selling until I have no more left. I'm seriously struggling though for something that doesn't have a large enough market to appeal to China or a big parts maker but still fills a need within the community.

So, any votes on what you would buy if somebody was selling them, mounts, brackets, adapters or likewise are all fine by me.

Not sure if it could be machined, but a fuel door release mechanism would be well received I think.

Might not meet the price point, but a redesign of the 3rd Gen driver seat rails to allow the seat to sit an inch or two lower.

It’ll limit the forward travel, but those of us looking to drop the seat probably don’t need to sit that close to the wheel anyway.

Wheel chocks for those of us that wrench in the drive.

Obviously labeled with "Toyota use only".

TRD battery clamp bars always go over good.

Okay, the TRD battery bar is for sure a potential option, the seat rails would be too hard and costly unless it were something like a low rise bolt on option, the wheel chocks nobody would pay the money for, the fuel door release are you talking about the little pull inside the truck or something in the rear at the hatch, that may be an option.

Thank you all for the great ideas! Keep them coming, I could bang out a prototype to show you all within a few days if we can come up with an idea and of course whoever comes up with the idea gets a free one or two or five.

Drive shaft spacers for the driveshaft to pinion you can buy them already but only 1 inch and 1.5 inch. Might be a market for 1/2 inch or 3/4 or 1/4

I second the aluminum battery bar. I'd buy one. I hate the stamped steel one. Not sure about first Gens but pretty sure Second and Third Gens are the same.

Body lift blocks, wedge blocks. Maybe trailer hitch insert. I like the shifter knob suggestion. Or battery tie down. Some kind of grill badge. Just throwing things out there.

I like this most honestly! I may look into this one.

All the rest are great ideas, I will look into market size and effort involved for some of them.
