As you can see the Hilux is badged VW! Here at that time it was also available on the VW brand, with the name "VW Taro". It's like in the US with the Mitsubishi Pajero or Montero sold on the name "Dodge" or the Suzuki Vitara sold as Geo
It was interesting to me because sold with a front solid axle

    Welcome!

Its awesome that you own both a Hilux and Tacoma at the same time! I've always wondered what the difference's are between the two. especially Unleaded VS Diesel.

Ive driven Hilux's (2015 D4D and 1997 2.4 NA diesel) in the Philippines, but I can't imagine it here in the US... Because the roads there are smaller and traffic is slower in the Philippines. (Both on road and offroad)

Would you say the Tacoma is better or very similar to the Hilux? I've always wondered if anyone one has done a detailed review for Hilux VS. Tacoma side by side!

The lady (says the police) was about 50 mp/h when she crashed.
    She's alive but wounded...

This red Hilux is a 3.0 D4D turbodiesel. It offers 171 HP and is very interesting because he gives a lot of torque at very low rpm.
It's about the same size as the Taco.
Works well off road but I regret my '94 and the solid front axle.

It's was hard to get the homologation for the first Tacoma. It took one whole year. The truck was in my garage 12 months and I could not use it from october 23rd 2016 to october 29th 2017. The drunk driver destroyed it on november 9th so I only drove it 11 days!!!,
For tne second Taco it was a little bit easier, only two months.

I just forgot to show you the 2004 Hilux...
Now you can see the different models: 1983, 1994, 2004 and 2008 Hilux's and the Tacoma :D
