Having a high pitch whistling sound from a 16 Tacoma. Sounds like coming from passenger side. Occurs at highway speeds with crosswinds. It's like the window isnt all the way up. I taped the shit out of the passenger side to locate the noise. No success.

It's at the dealership now. They can't find it either. Any luck?

its the weather stripping around the door. I put some foam/sponge in between the rubber stripping and it helped. I've only heard it once since I've done it.

There is a lot of DIY solution out there.

Do you have a light bar up top? If so, certain designs can whistle or hum at speeds. Just a thought.

It's not the LCA. Toyota tech checked it. They also taped the begezus out of the truck. They have corporate coming to take a look at it.

Here is the TSB for the fix. Film the noise as well. That way you don't have to recreate at dealership

Almost unrecordable, unless they have the treble turned up and decent set of tweeters. Tech acknowledges the whistle. He at this time, cannot locate the source. Definitely crosswind dependant. Sounds like its coming from the pillar between the passenger front and passenger rear door.

Update. The dealer replaced both driver and passenger window seals per TSB. Whistle is still present, but much less noticeable. Thats all they can do. I taped up pretty much the whole truck and the whistling noise is still there. Gotta be somewhere else on the truck.
