Haha thanks. That was a few hours after my detailer finished the ceramic coating. It's raining and nasty out right now, but if it clears up later I'll snap a pic of the flaps from the rear where you can see them better.

@loginfailed here is a pic i snapped at work. Its not great, but you can kinda see the flaps. They dont stick out far. I just wanted enough to help keep road crap from being kicked up by the tires

Yep, those flaps are just the right width for the car. Very nice!

The blacked out emblems look sweet with that paint color, too!

Thanks. I have replacements for the ovals, just havent done them yet. Too damn humid. I go outside and instant sweat. I am sure being in Houston you can relate. The badges are matte black, and the car is dark grey metallic. I wanted to make everything blend. The chrome stood out too much.

Anyways sorry to threadjack. I am here for more pics of your truck, and the badass mods you come up with

    I did a thing today.

Between the offset difference of the different wheels and removal of the BORA spacers, the net difference is about 10mm more poke. I think it looks pretty sharp.

That looks pretty good. I used to not like bronze wheels as a younger man. Brushed aluminum always had my eye. But i have seen some nice setups on bronze wheels, including these trucks. (Also a WRB subie with bronze looks sweet)

Bronze is sort of a compromise for me. I’d rather have a brushed aluminum or matte silver. It seems any decent wheel that fits these trucks is black or dark grey. I like my wheels to stand out somewhat.

These tick most of the boxes for me.
    • 106.1 hub bore
    • appropriate backspacing w/ out needing spacers
    • simple spoke design / easy to clean
    • easy to obtain (dont have to wait for stock and then play the lotto to try and score them, ahem @SCSPerformance )
Discount Tire had them on eBay for $113 each so I jumped on it. Bought from the local store and they priced matched the eBay ad. They didn’t even charge me to mount and balance because I bought the tires from them recently.

The only things I don’t like about them. The big dumb logo on the center cap (which I plan to rectify). Also, I wish they used the factory flanged lug nuts.

Yeah most aftermarket wheels use some sort of different lugnuts. I had atx mojaves and while they were different than factory, i only needed a shallow wall 19mm to get them on and off. My standard impact 19 didnt fit, it was too fat. They were matte black, so they kind of blended in to the wheels though so i know what you mean. My current wheels are more of a gunmetal, so there is a small bit of contrast.

On my old jeep i had brushed aluminum sawblade design, and i loved them.

Looks good. I was wondering why you were selling your spacers.

Removed the white “8” emblems from the center caps. A little acetone on a microfiber cloth is all it took.

UPS has me worried that this wouldn’t happen this weekend, but they came through at the last minute.

Gonna tighten up that saggy booty.

Hopefully you'll like the Dakars. They're solid; people have had theirs squeak but I've never had an issue and they've taken weight like a champ.
