    SOLD! SOLD! SOLD!

    Hello,

I am selling my CVT Mt. Shasta Extended Summit Series Tent. The tent is essentially brand new. I used it on one trip, then I stored the tent in a room with air conditioning. In the pictures, you can see that I have never taken the blue plastic wrap off the bottom of the tent.

I purchased the Mt. Shasta tent to have a smaller set up than my other tent. However, I ended up preferring my bigger tent. The tent is perfect for 2 adults up top, while also having a full room below the tent. The Summit series comes with a lot of upgrades. Such upgrades improve the long term durability and practicality of the tent: a diamond plated floor (a lot more robust than your typical roof top tent floor), a telescoping ladder, full annex room, waterproof mattress, anti-condensation floor mat, USB ports with overhead lights within the tent (to have the lights turn on and to charge devices the cord must be hooked up to a power source), and the tent fabric is upgraded to a more robust material that allows greater durability in whatever elements you may face.

CVT is a great company. The owner (Bobby) has always taken great care of me. I have purchased a couple of tents from him. There is nothing like camping in the middle of nowhere by yourself.

I am asking $2000 for this set up. If this set up was bought new, it would cost over $2800 with shipping—not including the other goodies I have listed below. I am located in Jacksonville, Florida (32258). I do not want to ship this beast. I travel a lot, so hopefully I can meet someone in person. https://cascadiatents.com/shop/mt-shasta-extended-summit-series/

I am including an extra travel cover for the tent, which is a $150 ($125 for cover and $25 for shipping). https://cascadiatents.com/shop/travel-covers-summit-model/

Also, I will package a Baja Rack Camper Shell Utility Rack w/ Wind Deflector with the purchase of the tent for $300. There is nothing wrong with the rack, it just needs a new powder coating: in some places the original coating has chipped off (see pics below). It fits this tent's dimensions perfectly. The racks are $685 plus shipping (e.g., shipping to Idaho is $200; shipping to Florida is $240). For $300, it would be a steal. There are a ton of attachment options for the rack that you can purchase yourself to mount gas cans, maxtraxs, and so on. https://www.bajarack.com/store/Camper-Shell-UTility-flat-Rack-with-wind-deflector-p102532094

    Thanks! F79F1FFC-3F70-468F-8188-B84050BDB056.jpg310ECD31-A884-4EE5-A042-7D22D8D70229.jpg8020BFF6-8FDB-423D-98C3-1B4B2EC10297.jpgB3F710E0-5A02-435E-8878-B3893362EFCB.jpg4FA23DDE-0468-447D-A4A3-FD4A5A312370.jpgF603BB9D-CE51-401F-BA7C-61AF44D0138E.jpg

Sorry for the late response. I was out of the country.

The tent is located in Florida. I have spent many of days around Whitefish, MT. I love it there!

Probably not until the end of the year. I would like to take off for the holidays and come see my friends. I lived in Northern Idaho: Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene. My career brought me to Florida for the time being. But I will be moving back to the Northwest. I love it up there!

I clicked on your instagram link. Glad to see you hitting the roads! My brother and I did the Dempster and Dalton highways a couple of years ago. I have spent a lot of time in western Canada too. It is definitely some of the best overlanding you can find!

I drove from Colorado to Prudhoe Bay last June...I entered Canada at Sweetgrass, MT/Coutts, AB and made my way northwest to Dawson Creek, BC...I drove the Alaska Hwy to Tok, AK where I have a small dry cabin on 1.25 acres...I also have 5 other acres of trees in Tok and 10 acres 85 miles northwest of Fairbanks, just 5 miles west of the beginning of the Dalton Highway...From Tok I drove to Fairbanks and north to Fox and the Elliot Hwy...75 miles north of Fox is the start of the famous Haul Road...I planned and prepared for this trip for two years and here I was on The Dalton Highway.
I drove to Prudhoe Bay non-stop, north of Atigun Pass the weather started to turn and by the time I got to Deadhorse it was dark, cold, the wind was blowing and it was starting to snow...So I found gas and got the heck out of there...I was beating the weather south and made it back over the Brooks Range, the further south I went the more blue sky I saw but it was still cloudy and cold...My next stop was back at Tok where I wanted to rest a couple of days but all it did was rain...I left Tok and dropped off the Alaska Highway west of Watson Lake and went south down the Stewart-Cassiar and Dease Lake Hwys...I came back across the border at Laurier, WA to Spokane and Coeur D'Alene, ID where I was born but I just flew on by there back to Colorado.
I would like to do it again but it was too hard by myself...The best way to do it again would be with at least two other vehicles.
    The wrecked truck and bear were on the Stewart-Cassiar and Dease Lake Hwys.180608_15;26;14-Dalton Highway jct.jpg 180608_15;54;57-Dalton Highway sign.jpg 180608_17;58;40-Yukon River bridge.jpg 180608_19;37;40-Arctic Circle.jpg 180608_22;07;45-Sukakpak Mt, mp203.05.jpg 180609_11;17;20-Atigun Pass, mp246.95.jpg 180609_11;21;02-Atigun Pass, mp246.38.jpg 180609_13;30;23-mp195.7, Sukakpak Mt.jpg 180609_13;39;44-Fairbanks 267, mp188.9.jpg 180609_13;42;37-Deadhorse 227, mp188.35.jpg 180609_16;06;18-Deadhorse 300, mp115.3.jpg 180609_16;30;36-Finger Mt, mp 98.1.jpg 180609_16;45;57-frost heave, mp89.9.jpg 180609_17;25;55-Roller Coaster Hill, mp74.8.jpg 180611_16;10;22.jpg 180611_19;16;33.jpg

Yeah I love roaming around this part of the world, plus the fishing and hiking is pretty good too. Coeur D'Alene is fave spot for me! Well if you still have the RTT at the end of the year when you come out northwest then maybe we can make something happen.

I have not been to Coeur D'Alene for 50 years before last June 2018...I did not realize that a house I lived in as a kid was just 8 blocks south of I-90 on La Crosse, we used to go to that little store on the corner...I have become very familiar with that area with Google Earth and BigRigTravels videos off YouTube since I have been back from my trip and wished that I would have stopped and at least drove by the two houses I lived in when I was a kid, I remember what they looked like.
If I go to Alaska again I'd rather have a couple other vehicles on the trip.

Coeur d-Alene and Idaho in general is growing a ton! It was a lot more remote 50 years ago.

When we came out of Brooks Range heading north to Prudhoe Bay, we hit a wicked snow storm. It was freezing the whole time up there—this was in June mind you.

I agree with having a couple of vehicles with you on a trip like that. It is a long journey coming from the lower 48.

    Thanks for sharing the pics!

Bump. I got a trip in the works to go to Wilmington, North Carolina and maybe Washington D.C. after Wilmington.

Update: I am definitely going to Wilmington. I am now working out the details about D.C.

I will be going down to Boca Raton, FL towards the end of May.

I have not pushed hard to sell this. My mother was involved in a serious car wreck, which caused her to have spinal injuries and a brain tumor. That has taken a lot of my time since last fall. With that said, I would like to get this moved. I have other projects coming up and a big expedition trip I am planning for.

I am including an extra tent cover, and am willing to package a Baja Rack with the tent for $300. See full description of the rack and link in the first post.

The only thing wrong with the rack is that the coating has came off in some places. If you line-x the rack, it would be as good as new. This rack is extremely robust! Never had a problem carrying my Denali or Shasta CVT tents.
