That's monthly property taxes on a $300k house in North DFW area.

I'd go back and offer $44k and tell them that's what you're willing to pay, if they refuse, ask for your deposit back. They'll call you if they really want to make the deal, if they don't, then they really think they can get $47k for it.

    On a scale from 1 to Dealership; I'd say it's about a 3.

Not uncommon, but also not in your best interest.

    This seems possible.

This seems scummy after giving you a price.

    This seems likely.

This is the dealer I delat with and they WILL discount, so long as you don't mind taking a spin to MA to pick it up. I can also give you the sales person I dealt with. Looks like you may have already picked one up?

Bro walk away. Then go back tomorrow or a week from now and ask him if he's ready to do business or if he wants to keep fucking around. If he says the same deal, just laugh and walk out. Repeat as needed. You'll get your truck for thousands cheaper if you're willing to be patient and show the salesman that you're not fooled.

You're showing up to the dealer ill-prepared and slightly ignorant, and you're showing all kinds of buying signals.

They are charging what they are charging because someone like you will pay for it, or they are betting on it.
If you aren't price shopping, that's fine, and they'll fine with that and so with that, you're not doing any homework, and they don't need to drop the price because you might buy at that price.

You show up hungry for a specific make, model, color, and trim. That's pretty specific, and if they know they are the only one nearby who has it, they can ask whatever price they want.
It's up to you at this point to inconvenience yourself for a better deal if you want one, or simply buy from them and start enjoying your new truck.

No, just the opposite, if he is a trust fund kid, and he is watching out for being taken advantage, it's a good thing.

If he is not originally well off, then he is making a huge mistake having that kind if money tied up that young.

This is a public forum, so I do believe we are allowed to express our opinion. As well as others can comment on my comments, too.

It's what I love about this place.

The dealer I bought from had a Cavalry blue PRO they had discounted down to $41,xxx. I'm guessing because it was a manual but then the week after I bought my truck it was down all the way to $39,999. MSRP was $43 I think. Makes me wish I'd wanted a Pro!
