@sorgon82 Yeah thin end toward the front will rotate your diff up which is probably what you need. That what i needed. Have you tried to measure your pinion working angles? I did and mine were off by exactly 3*.

@DrFunker Just doing a quick test drive last night, the take off and braking "shutter" that i had between 15-25mph is gone! i still have a vib at 45mph but i think it may be my needle bearing, unfortunately.

Yes, that sounds like the ECGS bushing. You didn't do that when the lift went in?

@DrFunker No i didn't. I wasn't crazy about the idea but kinda wishing i would have. Honestly that mod scare the shit out of me for some reason. Have you done it? Everything i've read said that the vib the needle barring causes is more noticeable by a sound. The vib i have is silent but slightly shakes the truck, almost like i'm on a concrete highway with a bunch of joints.

I didnt measure. Just guestimated 3 degrees.
My needle bearing vibes felt like a very mild rumble strip. Once i switched to the bushing it was completely gone. Now it feels like a slight driveline vibe. I can feel it lightly in the steering wheel too

I did do mine with the lift.
    Hmmm...that is interesting.
Gotta love these trucks. All so unique in their problems.

"They" generally say that the shim should equal the lift amount. But.....as we know there is no perfect formula. It just gives you a good starting point.

You can do it!!! Just fallow the videos. Make sure you stuff in some plastic packing material or something. Use a magnetic telescope thing, be patient. And if you change the rubber seal, a piece of 2" pvc coupling works perfect to punch it in place. A proper size socket will tap the new bushing in.
And youll need an extra set of hands to pull the cv

Got my shims in. One was a bit too wide n wouldnt fit between the u bolts. Had to shave it down. Lifted the springs just enough so the bottom was still in the hole, and with the extra collar there was enough room for the 3* to slide in place

This is what I did becaue I also installed the OME DX29L aal so I definitely needed the longer pin anyway. It can be done while on the truck as @DrFunker has stated already...
