I painted my SPC UCA’s with a Silver Pearl wheel paint replacing the damaged black powder coat it originally had.

Ideally, I wanted to have them red powder coated to match my caliper and manual hubs - but for now I was trying to copy the TC style gray control arms.

Just have to throw the clear coat on and we should be good. I have an auto shop infrared light coming in Wednesday that should speed up the curing time from one week to about 15-30 minutes.

Ha! Not one single request. Kinda figured it was just an aquired taste kinda thing.

I made the template out of hardboard (basically pegboard without the holes) and pieced it together taking each measurement individually. I then glued it all together and fit it on the truck to make sure everything lined up the way I wanted. So, no, no files or anything. Literally a one off piece.

That said, I have most of the pieces somewhere in my shop. I honestly don't know how many of the pieces I still have or how well they would ship. There's one long piece on the top that might be a bit difficult, the rest are relatively small pieces. I don't work out of my shop on a regular basis, but the next time I'm there, I'll see what I've got and let you know.

A crooked smile and a black eye  That's a pretty good way to describe it. Good looking 02 ya got, I'd just transfer the suspension over and have it be your new truck. Too bad it's an auto tho

Anyone else have issues installing new accessory drive belts after a timing belt replacement on a 3.4 V6? I checked the belt part numbers and they are correct and I have double checked the pulleys and routing and everything is correct. It is the A/C drive belt that is extremely tight, the others are fine.

    Thanks,
    Ron

Nice! My fix was a little more crude, but similar. I used epoxy to help seal the gap and holes. In hindsight I think calking would have worked better. Anyway, my fix has held up for over two years so far.

Is that airbox issue specific to the v6?

I used a sealer and then the bolts. I tried several different ways to glue or seal that just failed after awhile.

Yea, I tried just epoxy (that was formulated for plastic) and it didn't last a week. If you look in my photo you can see the heavy wire I used to stitch it together. That's what is holding it together.

I like the bolts. Looks like it would work good. Just make damn sure a nut never comes of. It would go right through your cylinders!
