Then why are you asking if $20K to $35k trucks all over the US are still for sale?

No chance you are finding a 2010+ for that unless it is beat to hell and has a ton of miles. Around here that is 1st gen money. I think the Tacoma's resale value is a little absurd, but as an owner I don't mind.

10k wont get you much but there are deals out there if you look hard enough

I picked up my F350 for a great deal and it took me a few months to find it.

I paid 11.5 for my 2010 150K on it 4cly 5 spd access cab base and its pretty beat up.. But I have no worries on reliability regardless.. I use it as a truck so the bumps and bruises don't bother me much.. It was really the only second gen in my area for under 15k.. So I just went with it.. So yeah 10k may be hard to find, as others mentioned, maybe a first Gen..

First world safety discussion... everything but the new 2018s are lacking adaptive cruise control. After putting 65k miles on a Subaru Legacy in 2 years that has it, I can tell you it's saved my ass at least twice. I'm not spending money on a new vehicle without a feature like that, which is why my new truck options are only including Toyota, Ram and Ford right now. As much as I want a new chevy, their newest truck STILL doesn't have it, even though their Tahoe does and it's a brand new redesign released this week for the silverado.

Also, bringing it back to Tacomas.... definitely not a nice vehicle from an amenity standpoint. When you live in the north not having things like a heated rear window and heated side mirrors are a big deal. I think about selling my 2013 at least once a week lol

Lol, I have an F150 and have installed so many different custom suspensions on my Tacoma I forget how many. My F150 has 20" wheels. You can't compare an F250 with an F150 or a Tacoma. YES the squeak in the Tacoma leafs is a known issue, easy fix, cost you about $0, assuming you have on hand a skill saw, jig saw or $5 to buy a hack saw.

I tried EVERYTHING to stop the sqeeky Tacoma leafs... Then about 8 years ago when recycling some old equipment for the company I worked for, it dawned on me... Doh! What's some of the hardest most durable plastic known to man??? The hard plastic on these old azz computer cases I'm trying to find someone to recycle! Used the same exact technic on several of my leaf packs and some friends too! After years... No sqeaks, just for you, I walked outside, just now and took pics. Cut pieces of the thick corner plastic, loosen the leaf pack, insert plastic, tighten leaf pack. You can get old azz 1990,s/1980's computer towers free almost anywhere, people WANT to get rid of them :)
I tried pads, greases, everything! This actually works 100% :)IMAG0036.jpg IMAG0031.jpg

You can do whatever you like, but if I only have $50 in my wallet, I don't walk into Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and ask them if they have a table available.
