I seem to see conflicting things on this and was hoping someone could clarify or point me to the right thread for it. I have a 3rd gen long bed (6ft) found a great deal on a 2nd gen camper shell (6ft as well) Is it going to fit at all or is there an easy hack to make it fit? The inside dimensions of the beds appear to be the same.

From what I understand they will fit, though they will sit 1" higher than the roof of the cab, due to the 3rd gen's box sides being higher.

My buddy put his cap from his 2nd gen on his new 3rd gen. He needed to hack a few spots but it seemed like it wasn't too much work for him.

The curve on the tailgate is different from the 2nd gens, so that the rear door on the shell will need to be modified to fit.

    thanks
