08/22/18 - Exhaust re-route is complete. The local shop Soco Muffler and Radiator did a great job., The owner, Ronny, was great as was his staff. it took 3 hours and they made me a custom Y pipe.

tree fiddy out the door. Reasonable price. It could have been cheaper if they didnt replace the 2 into 1 part but the owner said it would be better if they just replaced it. The oem pipe there is double walled and only about 1.25" in diameter inside.

 

They knocked it out of the park!

So i got those 34s right, and they rubbed like a mofo right... and so I cut, and chopped, and hammered till my arm hurt. No matter what I do, the tire is barely touching the cmc when parked in my driveway with the wheel turned driver about 50-65%!

pinch weld is beat back. fender plastics are trimmed and trimmed more

Which is not good news

The only other thing I can do is take it back to my alignment guy and see if he can add some caster. IIRC, its at 4*. Maybe he could get it to 5? Im gonna call Garry today and ask.

Outside of getting the CMC redone to be more aggressive, im not sure what else I can do. Whats worse, im not sure if its wise to wheel it hard this weekend knowing its going to smash the CMC every time im at 50%+... when its compressed, its gonna be rubbing worse then.

I cant seem to find the insain fab body mount chop parts for 3rd gen.

Thoughts anyone?

Yeah... i think its the only proper solution. @Texoma mentioned previously that maybe we take the shock off to allow us to move the wheel up and down to see exactly where else it will rub... i just dont have that capability/tools here at the house yet to do that myself.

 

What wheel size and offset/backspacing are you running? Ive been trying to find a good wheel made for larger tires (35s eventually). Im running the ray10s in 17x8.5 with 4.3 BS and -10 offset. I dont think this is the right wheel for 34/35s based on BS

 

You could always go back to stock rims an tall skinny’s an make some skin on top of it.
