    Hey guys, I found this forum and I'd like to take advantage of the knowledge that others have to offer. I've yet to buy a Tacoma but I plan on purchasing a 1st gen in the next 6 months or so.

    I'll be moving to a different state where getting around without a truck isn't impossible but definitely helpful.
    Ironically my first vehicle was a ranger... Over 4 years of ownership it's time I said goodbye to Ford forever and switch to the nearly invincible truck brand Toyota.

    I'll take any year that is a 1st gen/4x4 Tacoma. I plan on babying this thing. So I'm not to concerned with buying something older or less reliable. I have some knowledge of cars but very little when it comes to trucks.

    As of right now I'm nowhere near having a budget. I currently have a sub-project I'm investing my time into for a daily vehicle.
    Ideally, I'll have a budget of 4-5k in about 3 months.

    4-5k leaves you kinda limited.
    Definitely a 1st gen. Probably a 2000 at newest, 100k+ miles. But you might get lucky.
