Got 210,000 great reliable miles on 2006 xrunner. But found out today when I went to get an alignment there's a 3" long hole in the frame just before the lower control arm. I'm the original owner. Does anyone know if this truck still qualifies for a frame replacement? How long is the wait on average?

I’m from New Jersey & the letter that they sent said I had to have it inspected by 3/16/16. I didn’t go then because my taco has never been out in the snow because of RWD. Anyway, I called Toyota USA & they put me through to a local dealer for inspection.
Markgt531, How has ur Xrunner operated since ur frame replacement? Does everything work the same? Any Gremlins show up?

What part of NJ? I'm from PA and I got my frame done at NJ, Hudson Toyota. Everything works as it should. Even if u dont drive the truck in snow, the salt still a factor n will eat up that frame easily. Watch out for the dealer cuz I had my 2nd X checked and they said it was good but when I sold it, the new owner took it to another dealer and they said it needed a new frame .

I live in Dover area of NJ. I brought my X in for inspection today. Don’t know yet the outcome but the 4x4” hole is likely to fail it. Plus opposite side is showing blisters in the same area. They told me if other components are so rusted that they can’t get them off the frame without destroying them, that I have to pay for the parts. MarkGT531 did u have to pay 4 any additional parts?

Update: The Toyota dealer said that I need a frame replacement. They kept my Xrunner for safety reasons & gave me a new 2018 TRD sport to drive while they wait for the frame & do the job. It could take a month or more. I am very pleased with this outcome and will continue to buy Toyota trucks. It's somewhat inconvenient but just barely.

My 04' taco just got approved for a new frame today. I'm stoked. Glad Toyota took care of you too. Best vehicles ever.

It's 12 years, 2006 is out. No extensions. Currently 2008's are starting to phase out.

Incorrect. "15 years from date of first use".

I had my 2004 done last year.
