Bummer man. I’d invest in a dash cam with motion sensing parking mode. I plan on getting the Rexing V1. Reviews give it the best value for the dollar with a stable track record.

Something you can do with bolt on steps/sliders is to put a tack weld on a couple of the nuts/bolts.

I am also insured but my deductible for something to be stolen is very high.

I found low deductibles for this type of thing are best, I just did raise collision back up to $500. Everything else is 250 or less, didn't really cost much more so why not.

I don't know what scums of the earth signed up for service and going around stealing shit, man. Same fucking thing happens at my fire department. Some shithead stole recuse tools out of the engines. The other day we took a call to a guy cutting down his huge oak tree and got his leg pinched up on the folk of the tree as the branch came down, you could hear him screaming in pain and his family in tears as we pulled up. We came rushing in threw up ladders and then....couldn't find the Stihl MS461, we had to make due with a little crappy MS210. If that thing wouldn't start we would have to send in another truck for the saw. We voted to have cameras rigged through out the station now. It might not be our brothers though, we often let the puplic use the hall for free, but still...
