He mostly hunts out of Chama, NM area. Not sure if you know people around there. If you do, then chances are good you know him!

I tried this method yesterday with an old arrow. Started with really dull and moved to kinda dull. Three separate razor knives until I found the chosen knife haha! It did work. Thanks for the tip.

Wraps arrived, still waiting on vanes. Went with AAE stealth max if you wanted to know.

Shot like a champ yesterday after work. Amazing how much your mind will affect your shooting. Was in a good mood with a clear mind.

What kinda wraps did you get? I hear ya on the "clear mind = good shooting". Last night after my first two groups, it was pretty clear that my mind wasn't. Put the bow away and moved on to straightening up my hunting stuff.

Think the ones you sent me a link too, Onestringer I believe.

Went with one set of black and another of white. I like to keep things simple.

If that happens just move the target a little closer, then start trying to focus on something closer. If it feels good just back off and then take breaks. Taking your time in between shots or groups works.

Yea, I'm all about perfect form and focus. I have a practice routine whereby my first cold group needs to be spot on. If it's not, the bow goes away for the night. Forces me to focus on making a "perfect" first shot. Well, between a list of projects at home I can't get caught up on, my real job, and a part time engineering gig I'm trying to jump start....last night my mind was going about a million miles and hour and I just couldn't settle into the shot. So, I played with my hunting stuff, getting packs organized, trying on my hunting duds, making sure broadheads all spin true....

I actually did some stuff like organizing my hunting stuff too. :) I am gonna keep a big backpack in my truck especially for a day if I get a deer.

Where I hunt is no joke when it come to super steep terrain. I may just quarter my deer up this year. Last year I got a doe with my bow and she ran down into a creek. The hillside is over a 100 ft basically straight up.

I would have used the creek to my advantage but it’s super rocky and flows the opposite direction. Where I hunt there are definitely deer but it’s such weird terrain. So I think I’m gonna start quartering them up.

I don’t know what the hell im gonna do if I get a 250+ bear. Lol. Maybe rent a helicopter!!!

Newer member, love to Archery hunt, all in/around Central Florida, the season is actually just firing up, that is if you can stand the skeeters you can do well in the summer.

Here is a Osceola Turkey I shot through the neck recently. I shoot a PSE bow.

I don’t have a garden at the spot where we live now. Maybe next year. I definitely miss having a garden though for sure. Glad your getting those arrows fixed too.

The one thing I’d like to do is learn to do more stuff for my bow at home. I can do D-loops and have done a couple small things, but eventually I’d like to learn to do more serving stuff and really tune it even more precisely.

It shoots great now, but the more I learn the less I have to depend on stupid overpriced shops.
