I'd like to modify my factory radio/cd player to have an input for my phone/MP3 player. Has anyone done this? Is it possible? It has to be. I've done it on other vehicles.

    Thanks,
    Matt

if I remember correctly I think I saw a mod for an aux input into our factory head units when I was searching around for stereo upgrades on here.

Does it override whatever channel you have selected or can you assign it to a specific channel?

I have a 2006 Tacoma with standard radio. I wanted a Bluetooth option for Pandora. Installedin a Cruz $60~ from Crutchfield. Very basic though. After a year or two I wanted more options for using a phone so I replaced the Cruz with a GTA Car kit, $130. Awesome, I can make and receive phone calls, play pandora even skip songs.....happy camper now...

I used these before I put my audio system in. I got mine from Amazon. Only problem was they would break after a month or 2. Cheap enough that it wasn’t a big deal. Worked great when they work

I would seriously consider changing your headunit with one with Android Auto/Apple Carplay. You can do it for about $300 and it was the first and probably best $$$ I spent on my truck when I got it around the first of the year. Better sound, better graphics, Google Maps/Waze, Bluetooth, etc...

@McSwine are you talking about a headunit similar to the tesla style units for the Tundra. We put one of those in my buddies Tundra and that thing is baller!
Sorry if I jacked the thread...

Well, I'm not sure but I kind of doubt it. The Tesla has more of a tablet but I'm just talking about a double-din headunit to replace the factory radio.
