Looking to see all the different options for storage in an open bed. I have seen some that attach to the rail that you can lock. Looking for the ones you can slide in the rail and not have to drill into the bed.

Oh interesting. I’ve not seen that before. It reminds me of the locking storage inside of the bed walls on full sized trucks. Ram I think

That is pretty cool. Those get hot though and I would like a little more storage.

I use this, $35 from Home Depot. Holds a bunch of stuff, has a removable shelf. Seals real good, it has a rubber gasket. The handle slides out when you need it, and all you have to do is take a little weight off by lifting up on the handle, and the box will roll easily fwd/aft in the bed.

She runs. What more can I ask for?
You have any details on how you mounted that to the rails?

I got a pelican 1610 case I got on Amazon during a Deal of the Day promo. Has wheels and a retractable handle. Run some bike cable locks thru it and then thru my Max Modular rack.

I have a box like this with wheels on it. I put recovery crap in it along with food and water. I expect it to get broken into so I don't put anything nice in it. Hasn't been broken into in the 2 years I've had it

Wife just got me a shallow plastic work box for it for anniversary because she said the big box was too cumbersome and kept the bed dirty

The dirty area on the bed mat is how big ggje old box was. It was large

One thing to note, you need to make sure whatever you buy fits above the wheel wells if you have a short bed. Our beds aren't very deep and the wheel wells sit against the cab in a short bed.

12-16 for me. Yeah I had ammo cans mounted to the rails for a while.. too much off reloading they ended up rattling so much and vibrating it started ripping the metal open at where the bolt holes were.
