So was talking to the shop that installed most of this says “your setup Is common and we do a ton of them”. I actually believe that looking at thei IG. He is saying the alignment was not for a lifted truck as the caster should be set to 4+ currently it is 3.1 & 3.4. That’s all good but the thing that p’s me is they said nothing to me about it having to be a special alignment place for lifted trucks :(

So. talked to the shop that did my shock and tie install and they are telling me Firestone does not know how to do lifted truck alignments. They are recommending me to go back because I bought the lifetime alignment and have them set it to:

    Toe - 0.06 - 0.10 degrees
    Camber - 0.5 - 1.0 degrees
    Caster 2.2 - 2.4 degrees

What are you thoughts? In this forum someone said 4 degrees caster this is a big difference from the information i received here.

Also the Crazy thing is, I went by the Toyota Dealership yesterday that has trucks that have 285 70R17 Toyo Open Country and they seem to work fine. they install Bilstein 5100 's on them as well. Wonder they are not experiencing issues?

I have Fox 2.5 and BFG K02 285 70R 17 so my set up should not have issues either . so confused. :annoyed:

honestly, not sure how folks keep saying they don't rub with 285's even lifted. if you flex that suspension you're going to hit plastic or the cab mount.

i'm running ray 10's with 265/70/17 duratracs on stock OR suspension. Yeah, driving straight i don't rub and even full lock to lock sometimes i don't rub, but even slight suspension travel puts me into the rear plastic inner fender liner or very edge of the fender line where it meets the bumper. i'm sure many don't care but i do and find it annoying.

i've heated the plastic right next the cab mount and pushed it back. that's where i was rubbing the most. i miss the cab mount by maybe 1/4" if that.

Also had to trim the bottom of the fender flare a bit.

Lastly i trimmed just a bit from the bottom of the front bumper. so far so good, but a lift wouldn't do much except clear me for speed bumps if i ran anything more aggressive.

I am running 285's/70/r17's with a 3/1 inch Pro Comp Nitro level/lift kit. I do not do any off road stuff other than a mountain trip. I have stock UCA's and do not rub on full lock. I have hit some decent size potholes with no rubbing either. Mud flaps are removed though.

Your rim offset isn't helping you any. Those are tucked in at +7 giving you rub

The +7 is making it rub? Should I get wheel spacers?

Your 8.5" wide with a positive offset. That's your issue. You're an inch wider than the factory rim+ Spacers will help, I've never run them. Others can chime in on that. Never heard of an issue with good US made ones. Maybe diff rims. Have anyone with different wheels you can bolt up to check? Easy to do

If it's just the plastic, take a heat gun and reshape the fender to give yourself enough clearance... Or go to town with a dremel like I did. I had to cut quite a bit with 275/70/17
