For those with roll up bed covers , how do they latch and unlatch to bed?

A friend of mine was showing me his, and it had one metal latch that he squeezed on the left and it was undone, when he closed it it just snapped in that latch and locked in place. Are they all like that? , I liked how his worked. He got it on eBay 3 years ago as a no name cover. Pics would be great , thanks.

Truxedo's Edge latches just as you describe. There's a small lever on the driver's side that releases the cover at the tailgate, with the tailgate open. In fact, I think their economy model, the Truxport does the same.

I have the slightly more expensive Bakflip Revolver X4 which is a hard roller, and it has a cable release on both sides.

I have the Truxport and it does what you describe, but with a latch on both sides that must be pressed. Gives a little security if your tailgate is locked, but a knife would make quick work of getting in.
