I got a used set of Icon Billet UCAs from a buddy that look like they've spent the last couple winters far up north in the salt. More or less everything thats not aluminum is rusted and really just doesn't look all that great and I'm not entirely sure if I'm going to be able to adjust them because of the amount of rust build up. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue with Icon and there UCAs. Here is a couple of pictures to show what I'm talking about. I was able to get ahold of Icon and they quoted me $400 to get everything thats rusted replaced.

racecar parts dont generally like wet salty climates, i think theres some product you can spray on it to prevent it. but those look pretty pitted and may need replaced.

you may be able to find stainless hardware, (heims, misallignments) in that size on macmaster carr

its true, they are really pitted and will most likely need to be replaced. They look a lot worse in person to be honest with you. I'm really worried about not being able to turn the adjuster sleeve while its on the vehicle because of the amount of rust build up.

Try to turn the adjuster sleeve and see what you've got.

I'm planning on it, i just need to get a 3/8 12 point socket in the morning. Im letting everything soak in some PB blaster over night.

If the misaligns arent seized to the Rod ends, I'd take them off scotch brite them and coat them with some Steel-It paint.
Swap out the rod ends with new ones, just make sure you use anti seize or grease. only swap them if they are sloppy

I had a set of these on my truck a couple years ago and they squeaked really bad.
