I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma that won't stop screaching where the harmonic balancer is. I took off the belt and let the engine run and that's where the sound was coming from. So I took off the old harmonic balancer and replaced it. Also I replaced the seal. About 1/3 of an inch located on the outside of the balancer (where it connects the crankshaft) There was a small groove that was created from rubbing. I just took of the replacement and the same groove appered.
I drove it with the replacement and noticed for the first 2 miles the screaching would only appear when I pushed the clutch in and shifted! Has anyone had a similar problem? If so how did you fix it? Thanks!!

Also here is a picture of the old harmonic balancer.1535155457724797357727.jpg
