What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Never thought about painting that bugshield white....how often does it need repainting? or is it rhinolined?

 

still dreaming of an 040 skewpt hood...............

 

It started as camo then I painted it black .Now Rustoleum gloss white. 3-4 coats after roughing it up .I think last summer is when I painted it . Holding up good .

 

Replacing my grill in a month or so with this !

 

Damn the more I see that grille the more I want it.... I'd probably color match those letters though

 

Started my ram mount mod, waiting on the other parts

Today I learned 2nd gen coil packs my dealer wants $130 for can be found at advance auto parts for $47 only difference is a toyota stamp. If you have codes P0301-P0306 it's more than likely your coil pack .

Wife, sister, and a few of their friends went to a concert tonight so I am on dog sitting duty. Which translates to changing out the spark plugs in my truck. Truck has 56k on it (bought it with 45k), bought some Denso Iridium tipped plugs because O'Reilly's could only order nickle or iridium in the Denso's. Wanted to go with copper to save a few bucks and see how the next 30k went but bit the bullet and went up to iridium. Wasnt too sure what I was getting into when I started. I wasnt sure if I was going to find the stock 3/3 Denso/NGK or if I was going to find the previous owner swapped them out after 30/40k miles.

Well I stumbled upon stock 3/3 Denso/NGK and boy do the NGKs not look like they have the same life expectancy as the Denso's. Comparing both the NGKs were all way wore out compared to the Denso's. All Densos gaped at .50 to .51 coming out NGKs were between .55 and .58.

Gaped all the new plugs at .40. Now to complete my research on Ham radios for the evening.

 

Hey at least you are doing something to make money, the rest of us are pizzzzzzzing ours away on mods. Congrats on having your Priorities in order.

 

Extended the Rear differential breather. Took out the old one, Installed the new hose barb w/ a little teflon tape, drilled a hole for the new diff breather in the cubby next to the under bed rail LED switch, and zip tied the hose out of the way. I may be over hopeful with the amount of slack I left in the line compared to the amount of flex I can actually do.

 

GPS is large and in charge. Had to move mine

 

I prefer the platform type that the bike sits on its wheels
