Custom Vinyl Wrapped Tacomas....

guys- I am kicking around the idea of having my ‘17 trd sport vinyl wrapped to have something different than everything out there-
I have seen a few on Instagram, and like some of them.
Any thoughts, input, tips, please post here. Also- if yo uhave had your truck wrapped, post pics and info of what you paid for it, learned from it, etc.

Complete truck not wrapped but 3/4 is. 2 different tailgate shots, one old one new.

 

I've thought about a full wrap a lot. I'm sure one day I will to hide all the pin stripes for a bit until I destroy the wrap.

 

ok ok all joking aside- im not talking about stupid graphics or business advertisements- Solid colors to be specific. I have seen a few- matte....green, orange, grey- anyone else? if you had your truck wrapped in matte solid colors, what did you pay for it? thanks guys!

i hear you on this, i planned to wrap my truck when i got it because i dislike cement grey. but i ended up getting a white one on allocation, so i had options although i didn't want a white truck. a full wrap was $3500 for crap or $5k for good... either way far too much when the shit will only last a few years before it's abused. i decided to put the $3.5-5k into other mods.

so I'm asking you now, what other mods might you have planned if you had $3.5-5k freed up? cus in 3-5 year your thousands in investment will be crying to get peeled off like a big nasty sticker.

Seriously though. I wouldn’t do it. I agree with the other guy who says it costs too much and it’ll peel away. If you’re going to spend that much, Line-X it. At least it’s got more protection and lifetime warranty. I’ve seen it look a lot better now in person at the shop near me. It’s not super rough like in a bed or bumper. From 10-20 feet away you can’t tell.

Matte Orange. Local place charges $2500 for trucks using quality vinyl.

That’s pretty cool...I think the Matte colors would get old quick tho.
