Holy crap I'm only @ 74,000 on my 2011! I only use it for chores and play though, I've got the daily driver mod.

 

I rolled 150k in the regular cab 2 weeks ago. Next month is 5 years since I bought it, crazy to think about. Bought it at 19.

I just bought a 21-speed GT Aggressor (used, older) from a bike shop so I can keep up with the kids on vacation next week.

 

Cool but you still won't use all 21 gears. Lol

 

Thanks! I'm a dual citizen as well. Took a lot of time, paperwork, and money.

I was born and raised up there through college. We only get up once a year, which is a shame. Every year one more person I knew has either passed or moved away.

A lot of money to become a citizen?? And time?? Exactly why I don't want to do it. I'm legal here; green card, and pay my taxes. Don't really see any advantage to become a citizen, besides vote which I could care less about, and not get deported if I kill someone which I don't plan on.

 

Dude, it's been like 20 years since I was last on a bike. I used all 21 in the first 30 seconds trying to get up a slight incline.

 

I don't plan to kill anyone, and finding good candidates to vote for is no picnic either. But, this country has been really good to me. Come here with a willingness to bust your hump, and you really can make a life for yourself. I don't take that for granted for one day. I'm proud to be a Canadian, and I'm proud to be an American as well.

 

Wife is oot and aboot tonight with co-workers so I took the time to work on her old laptop so we have a working piece.

It's an old Asus that isn't very powerful, but at least has Windows 7 (my old laptops have Windows XP and barely work) so that's good. The power cable connection was extremely fragile when it was new and over time it ended up breaking, so I took it all apart and reflowed the solder on the connection points.

To those with computer knowledge, here's a question for you :

The only issue now is that the battery doesn't seem to be charging / working. Could I have broken something on the connection when I disassembled the computer, or is it likely something else? The computer sat dead in a closet for probably 2+ years now, so the battery was likely fully discharged / dead dead.

I suppose I could rip it all apart again and check all my connections, but I'd like to know it's worthwhile before I rip into it.
