    I did throw a rain fly from another tent for added waterproofing, it's going to get heavy when it's wet I'm assuming even though it says it's water repellant.

    ya, thats why I wanted to let you know. I have a lot a varibles that I still need to figure out,
    part of what makes a rain fly work, is the separation from the tent and fly. If they touch, once the rain fly gets saturated it will wick to the next layer, your tent.
