Ya I thought about that. But more welding surface. Easier for me to make the mount. Worst case, drill some speed holes. But with the radiator as big as it is, and virtually all new cooling components, I decided it wasn’t worth my time.

So what your saying is even a race truck doesn’t need to over do it and over think it, interesting.

I'm at lumen/price parity for any given BD light bar but I have better throw because better (larger) optics on the XL spots.

Then again math/advanced concepts like "optics" and the AZTW peanut gallery don't exactly go hand in hand.

And the 4pot isn't stock either. :) Looking forward to seeing more progress on your build @4Running Daily .

Actually if we go back a ton of pages, we can go over how I already proved your math wrong and you admitted that you were equal in lumens to a single light bar at the time, from what you were originally looking at.

Or you could just learn to read.:notsure:

    par·i·ty1
    ˈperədē/
    noun
    noun: parity
    1.
the state or condition of being equal

It's very likely not worth bothering to explain optics and collimation to you, but in layman's terms, big reflector = big beam.

And yes I made a mistake in my first post and had mistakenly doubled the already doubled lumen output because I was looking at pair/single and got mixed up.

:ohsnap: I'm impressed, you used the right "you're." Gold star!

Just to go over this again:
    4 bd sports: = $460
    2260 lumens each = 9040
    2 xl sports: = $390
    2260 lumens each = 4520

    Total cost: $850
    Lumens: 13560

    Onyx 30in:
    Cost: $1100
    Lumens: 22050
So lumens is almost double for $250 more, if you upgrade to racers or pros your cost is now more and you can then buy a second bar or a hi power and still have more lumens.
