    Hey there.

Out of curiosity I was wondering if its possible to put a trd skid plate on an sr5. Probably would look better then the plastic wind chin, and I do like the looks of them.

    Thanks!

Heh. I eat my cereal out of a bundt cake pan. When I eat cereal, I eat the whole box in one sitting. My wife calls me a cereal killer ...

Yes you can stick the trd skid on your sr5. Not a very good shot, but it's under there.

I have an SOS Offroad Concepts skid kit on my 3rd gen SR5. The front skid is the IFS skid. If you want to go all out, I also recommend the mid skid and tcase skid.

This pic has the streamline bumper on there too, but you can still see the front skid just below it:

The only holes missing on the SR5 for skids are for the tcase skid. You'll have to drill those. The factory front / IFS skid is a direct bolt-on though, after you remove the front air dam.

I see it is measured in "gauge" not inches and is steel. For my money and protection, I am getting the 1/4 inch plate aluminum that won't rust. The 1/8 inch seems to flimsy.

Here is the REAL TRD from Dallas. I am getting probably everything from this dealership. CHEAP!!

Just got told at my dealer on Friday that the SR5 wouldn't take the skid. Glad I found this thread.

That's because it's not compatible with the front air dam. OR and Pro do not have air dams.
