    I wasn't even talking about the S8 vs the OnX6...

    I was talking about the depth available on the light mount vs the protruding snout of the 3rd gen. There is a limited amount of "backspace" from the mount bolt center line to touching the grille, depending on the height of where your closest clearance is.

    OnX6's total depth is 4.29", and the mount bolt's center line is about 1.22" from the front of the light according to BD, so that would make it stick back 3.07 inches or so. If I remember right because I don't have my measurements in front of me, that is about 1.5-1.6" too deep.

    I mixed up members for a second, I thought @MaverickTRD had a 3rd gen PRO w/stock bumper, not the GX and a runner. So alas I can't speak to the specifics on his rides. But yes, if you have an aftermarket bumper and a 2nd gen things get easier. In fact I think it would actually be impossible to do a behind the grille mount on a 2nd gen, don't they have way less room behind there?

    Looks like a good plan!

    You have the advantage of squares though, squares are good. And you probably have way more room than me:

    [IMG]

    Fun fact: XL's actually stick back less far than Squadrons do.:thumbsup:
    You should be in the clear with the XL's at the very least.

    The 10 second breakdown:

    S2= fun size
    Squadron = OEM fog light size
    XL = big mac
    LP9= 9" miniature suns

    Then there's "sport" trim (which IMO is the best balance of cost and performance) and "pro" trim which ups the power significantly.

    Pro is going to have about double the output of sport.

    I think pros are rated at 4900 lumens and the sports like 2350 IIRC.

    I’ve got Squadron pros in fog and ditch light positions - pretty happy.

    Also BD’s customer service when some crackhead asshole tore the wire out of the back of one of them was amazing. They fixed it for about $30 plus cost of shipping.
