:D ok, yes, the lower grill has to be cut.

    20180704_023929.jpg

You'll need to use a hacksaw blade to cut the center horizontal piece. Once I had both brackets mounted I just lined the saw blade up with them and made the cut. My first attempt was not enough and when I slid the mount in it buckled the horizontal grill member. I just cut away a little more. It's not critical though because you're not going to see it once the light is in place.

When I installed mine, it said to remove the air deflectors. didn't think about cutting them to keep them in. May have to try this since they are sitting in a box in the garage doing nothing.

Depends on the type and how much support they provide. After installing the N-fab Light Bar mounting system I was able to pull on it with all I had and the truck was rocking back and forth but the mount was not budging.

If you mount the light bar behind the lower grill there is absolutely no cutting involved.

Some guys have removed them for various reasons without any Ill effects. If your coolant temps are stable leave them off and in one piece. It's been in the mid to upper 90s around these parts lately so I wanted to utilize them to help direct airflow through the radiator. Again, can't imagine it makes that much of a difference.

I didn't cut anything on mine and I installed this same light bar. I took some pictures last night of the bar, figured I would share them here. Only the bar lights were on in the picture.
Note - my bar shines off center, trying to get a replacement as we speak..can't stand it anymore.

That's weird. It looks as if there is more light up close on the right, and less farther away on the right, and then more light farther away on the left and less light up close on the left. Very odd.

You mounted it behind the grill?

Yeah, it's mounted behind the grill. I've adjusted it in the brackets as much as possible. I'm pretty sure the lens is just off center...I've read in the comments on Amazon that others have had this issue.

I finally got mine installed but now I just need to do the wiring. I planned it all out this past weekend. I just need to order some 16 awg weatherproof connectors to solder in strategic places, in case I ever need to remove the light bars.

Mine is a tad bit off center too, not as much as yours but just a little noticeable. Not enough for me to send it back though. I did find out that my cab is off center from the frame ever so slightly.

@rlx02 Why did you go with the caliraised brackets? Aren’t the ones supplied with this bar good enough?

    Looks very nice.

Who are you asking Walter? It's always a good idea to tag the person by putting the @ symbol in front of their screen name like this @vprgts

@rlx02 was who I was asking the question. Thanks for the heads up as I was on my iPhone posting. One of the benefits of getting older. Need glasses lol.

The caliraised brackets are no drill and are made to fit exactly in that cut out. The ones supplied with the grill aren't a direct fit and would need to drill in somewhere. I plan on getting an aftermarket bumper later on so I didn't want to do a lot of drilling.

Perfect. Going to do the 32" AuxBeam also. Thanks for the quick reply.

You didn’t have to cut air deflectors or did you not put them back in?
