Slowly trying to get mine ready for aop.
Haven't even started on making skids yet but I have materials at least.

Gave myself a good burn while welding a CB antenna mounting bracket on Sunday. Welding gloves got wet from sweat and basically steamed my thumb when I went to flip a piece over.

BTW for the 4R guys, I'm making 1 extra antenna bracket that I'll sell for a fair price. It'll mount a Firestik just below driver side taillight angled slightly away from body. Not totally finished yet. I'll post a pic once it's done & mounted.

Well karma bit me in the ass this morning, all that wishing that someone would rear-end me and I ended up hitting this lady. We were taking a right to get on the on-ramp for the highway with a green light, and when I looked back to double check that things were clear she must've come to a stop.

The only damage I could find on the truck was the line-x split a tiny bit where the shackles mount up.

Yeah everyone's all good, the only thing hurt was probably my ego. This is my first time to ever hit someone.

Sucks man. Sorry that it happened to the front and not the rear.

    Glad the airbags didn't deploy!

Yeah, it definitely could've been worse, I probably hit her doing around 10 mph. That steel bumper did it's job.

Just like a dog digging in the trash, even has a piece of her taillight still in the bumper. When I called my insurance (I literally spoke to Jake from State Farm) and told him what I hit he asked "those are those ugly weird looking cars right?".

close second would be the Juke. Nissan knows how to make 'em.

Also it sounds like it's the same Jake from the commercials

Anyone have experience with these: http://trbeadlocks.com/ ?

As some of you know, I’m a pro off-road de-beader. I was thinking of adding another locker up front, but think I’ll be getting wheels first.

No firsthand experience, but I hear good things. You could always DIY also, I don't think it would hurt your already crappy mileage and the extra weight might help you keep wheels on the ground. OMF, KMC, Method, Raceline, and probably a few others also make traditional beadlock. Rock Monster makes a Hutchinson style beadlock (like what's on Humvees) that are DOT approved.
