I'll be heading out tomorrow and arrive in skykomish around 10AM. if you want to come we could meet at the Gas/grocery store they have there. i'm only going for the day

Hey all,

Was just chatting with @Korndog1284 this morning. The wife, horse (dog) and I are heading East this weekend for a little R&R. I've got a small loop that I drive whenever I get the chance. The loop includes about 25 miles of gravel roads with an old quarry, Red Top mountain fire lookout and a couple of campsites up on top of a ridge with great views of the Teanaway forest. There are also a bunch of skid roads that skirt off that I haven't had the chance to investigate.

We will likely be heading out Friday evening, but was thinking we could get a convoy going Saturday morning/afternoon. We can either make this a morning/afternoon run and grab breakfast at Liberty Cafe (circled in red below) or a night run and head back to Cle Elum to grub at the Caboose (kids friendly BTW).

Either way, I'll be in Cle Elum and if anyone is interested we can coordinate times/meetup location.

 

Hey Bigfoot,

I have some day hikes planned this weekend but could set aside a day to go hit some 4x trails with you if that's an option. Also, I'm running a stock rig (2016 DCSB OR), and am new to 4x, if that's alright. Met up with @Goran last weekend - nothing technical, but still a lot of fun!

Not a problem at all. A Prius could tackle this road with no issues. This isn't a trail AT ALL. It's just a nice drive and a chance to get away and enjoy some views and good company.

 

Count me in.

 

I'll be at Liberty cafe Saturday around 10am and driving the loop shortly after breakfast. Again, this is NOT a trail - just a nice drive.
