I’m having to recruit new subs that are willing to drive out into the county. Why do they all laugh when I tell them it’s a high end chicken coop?

 

Yea, we talked about that and she is a great neighbor and friend but there is always that possibility of something happening and one day I will be like WTF?! Would not be cool if I or the wife was using the connection to work from home. Plus, I've been independent since I left home at 17, I would feel funny in that respect too. No, I will deal with my high costs, and slower than average speeds for now. Ultimately we will move to a more populated area and then I will get a T2 connection! LOL

Fiber is where it's at now. Buddy of mine has it and his internet runs at 980 megs.

He's on a 1GB connection.

Two years, Three new underground lines, and a field team from Calgary. That's all it took to fix my connection. It didn't matter which company I chose, the connection from the house was the fault. Figured I lost about 4K in callouts & OT. Didn't pay a bill for over two years. These guys really stood on there heads to fix it tho.

 

I am only at 10k, I hope I live long enough to see 200k.

I've sent emails to all the heads of whatever divisions there are and my neighbor farther back into the woods has as well. His cost is twice that of mine. Again, we offered to do the trench, install the conduit, install pull boxes, install junction boxes, and still nothing. There are Pro's and Con's to be isolated in the country. Con, impossible to get cable. Pro, not impossible to hide bodies.

Well, it's hump day, so the morning got me off to a good start. Dinner out with my fiancee, tonight, I just need to pick a spot. The big fun will be this weekend. I have a friend visiting from Maine and we've got a three day weekend full of mountain biking planned.

 

Oh shit it was hump day today. Celebrated accordingly

 

Cost me over 3K for Two Poles & a half mile of Cable when I lived in rural Alberta. That was over 25 years ago. I paid it just to get off that damn Party Line. (I was ring #6) Once I got the private phone, none of my neighbors would talk to me, go figure.

 

Just got out of bosses office. I walked in just as he got done refereeing a fight between 2 female employees and 2 female members. I heard things I'd rather not repeat.


But DANG! They were funny! (And I wish I'd have said them)
