I'm currently running Cooper Discoverer AT3 265/70R15 tires that came on the truck when I purchased it, being time to replace them I am looking at different tires and found the list of stock sizes which do not include my current size. They have 225/75/15, 31X10.5X15, and 265/70R16. I'm thinking of going back to the 225/75/15 to bring my speedo back in line and hopefully not be so sluggish on acceleration. Increased mpg wont hurt.
Is there anything I will be giving up by going to the thinner tire? According to the calculator they are pretty close. If anyone has any pics of the 225/75/15 on their truck please post them,

My truck is a 2000 SR5 Prerunner 2wd Access Cab and I drive 85-90% on asphalt
Door plate does list the 225/75/R15 as stock

Any help or info is appreciated

    Bob
