I don't care if I'm at least 8 hours away from San Diego... plus a little more to get to Mexico, I'll drive all day to see a good sight. Count me in!

I had a bunch of pictures of this badass 4runner from last years 1000 but I can't find them.... anyways yes Ivan Stewart came out of retirement to run part of the race in the 4runner!

 

Passports to cross back into USA??
Yes but you will NOT get sent back into Mexico if you don't have one. They'll just give you a little lecture and at worst, send you to secondary for a while.

This years Baja 1000 will be fun as always but in my opinion, other years are better (when they do a loop race). Reason being that you can watch them at least twice without traveling very far.

Like other have said, DO NOT worry about the killings and all that, it's all media hype.
If you have never been to one of these baja races, You MUST try it at least once!!! You will get hooked and want to go again, again, and again.
