Will you be running a 3” lift with these tires? Looking to do the same with a fox 2.5 setup and curious if it will fit or not. Of course with CMC and plastic trimming.

Been rocking my ridge grapplers for 6000 miles or so. I love them - quite on road, great off-road capabilities, good looks. Only negative thing I can say is they took about 1.5-2 mpg from my average. Other than that - they are perfect for the commuter/off-road enthusiast/adventurer

I have 40,000 on the truck now. The RGs have been on for alot of that. They still show very little wear, but they are getting louder.

Has anyone tried both the C-rated and E-rated for themselves? Price and weight seem to be the two biggest factors I hear when someone bring up load ratings but from what I can tell they really shouldn't be deciding factors at all. Looking at Nitto's page the 265/70R17 C and E are the same weight (ok, actually the C weighs 1/100th a pound MORE) and on TireBuyer the price difference is only $4 per tire. How are they adding extra layers without adding extra weight?? I don't know but it turns out the diameter of the C is about a quarter inch larger than the E.

Anyways, I guess that just leaves the actual strength of the sidewall as the deciding factor.

C should flex better without lowering PSI as much(ex: air down to 18-20 instead of 10-12).
C should ride a little softer on-road (better bump absorption but sloppier cornering)
E will be more stable while towing
E will be more puncture resistant

If I run an E load on road at a slightly lower PSI I feel like the ride would be indistinguishable from a C. No?

    Load range =/= puncture resistant.

All reports by users that contact Nitto (myself included) are that the compound and construction of the tire are nearly identical. The only difference between the E & C are how the Plys are laid out. That's the only difference. The E rated Plys are designed to add strength in the sidewalls.

I just had my tires rotated and have been monitoring the psi on the dash info display because I swear they look low. They are a constant 36 psi in the rear though (cold).

After nearly 18.5k miles I'm still amazed how smooth and quiet these tires are. 265/70r17 E

Too heavy for a C load tire.
