Another easy exterior mod that really adds a lot to the truck's appearance for minimal $$ is the "TACOMA" tailgate letter inlays. They can be found various places but I recommend checking out @rrentrop . He'a got good vinyl, at a good price, and has great customer service.

Thanks man, seems like that's the consensus. I watched some youtube vids as well so thinking ill go with plastidip.

Curious, what did you use to stick it back on? The only vids ive seen are how to remove the badges

This guy has a decent vid on the subject. :anonymous: Any automotive 3m double-sided tape will work.

If you're plastidipping the badges, no need to remove them. That's the beauty of the stuff. Mask the general area, apply 4-6 coats, theb using your fingers (or a toothpick for more detailed areas), just slowly peel the excess away. It's super easy and if you do a crappy job, just peel it all off and start again. That's how I've done all of mine. I'll snap a pic later when I get a chance.

Volcano Red Plastidip. A biy pricier than the standard colors, but I like it.

Oh I know. I thought he was just asking in general how to re-apply badges.

You dont have to remove the badges. After it dries you can carefully peel the plasti dip off.

Yours turned out really good.. I wasn't sure how easy it would be to mask the areas inside the lettering so that's why I figured I would need to remove the badge, plastidip, then stick them back on

Just mask the area, leaving a 3-4 inch buffer around the badge. Make sure you get full coverage, if you don't, the peeling can be a bit tougher. You're looking to peel a big piece, not little splatters. I use masking tape and plastic trash bags for masking. You can buy a product in the paint supply section of the hardware/home improvement store that has tape and plastic masking all in one. I think 3M makes it.

"Howdy" from Texas. Don't know what we're more envious of.. the truck, or the mountains in the background.

    Congrats!!!
