    Aloha,

Anyone know a good place to pickup nerf bars/running boards on oahu? Looking for a bar that will also protect a little bit from door dings for my '18. I think my doublecab can also fit the same bars as the 2nd gen.

I'd rather not pay the crazy $$$ for OEM from servco and all the shipping spots look like they charge $150-$200 for shipping alone.

    Thanks!

I've seen some on Craigslist and Facebook Market, but can't remember if they were for 3rd gen. Also, if you plan to go offroad, recommend sliders. @U4x4808 has some in stock on-island.

Probably not much offroading as my truck is a 2wd. Mostly looking to protect the doors and offer a step to my tiny friends and family lmao

I got mine from Amazon, cheap tyger brand, but I think after I bought mine they realized they lost money, so they don't ship to Hawaii lol

You’ll wanna verify they stick out far enough past your panels to protect against door dings prior to buying. OEM tubes do not, not sure about the predator steps.

If you do end up looking to spend that kind of money, I’d just try to find a pair of sliders from a place on island (Universal?) that sells sliders.. paint em black and know you’re good forever (steel > .125” aluminum).

My friend bought the tyger brand sliders... one of the tubes between the sliders wasnt welded good and broke off. Couldn’t see it too good because it was hidden under the powdercoat.

My passenger side got battle tested....I got high centered and bent all the brackets! lol Plus I only got them so my mom can get in my truck easy, she hardly ever rides with me now, so I might just get true sliders now.

I bought the Tyger brand from Amazon about a year ago and they shipped for free. I received it damaged and Amazon was going to send me another one and then I would have to send the damaged one back, but it wasnt that bad so I offered to keep it in exchange for some discount. They were more then happy to give me the discount. the shipping alone would have been more then the discount they gave me. Those things are HUGE and not packaged well enough so they probably lost too much money in shipping. It was cheap enough that if they got damaged or rusted out, I figured I would just order another one. Still looks good though, just fading from the sun. I should have sprayed it with clear before placing on the truck. That sucks though if they stopped shipping to Hawaii.

I bought mine early this year, then about 2 months later a friend wanted the same steps. I tried buying them again and was told they wouldn't ship here anymore lol
